The fragrance of my country India is in my DNA. I feel it every moment, no matter where I am. After being away for almost eight months, I am finally returning to my desh, my beloved India. This time, I am determined to make it one of the best visits ever.
I am eagerly waiting to meet my wonderful relatives and friends, the ones who truly care for me, and I care for them just as much. And of course, I cannot forget the highlight of every homecoming, my mother’s cooking. She is a master in the kitchen, and I know the biryani, chicken stew, nihari, and countless other delicacies are waiting for me. Nothing compares to the love and flavor of food cooked by her hands.
This trip is also about reliving memories from my childhood, the laughter, the stories, the little joys that shaped me. Yet, one thing I am bracing myself for is the Indian summer. After enjoying the cool, refreshing weather of Japan, the heat back home feels daunting. But even that is part of the experience, part of the rhythm of life in India.
So here I am, counting down the days. India, I am coming back. To the warmth of family, the taste of tradition, and the embrace of memories, see you soon.
